Walk In LOVE !

We attended a wonderful Easter Sunday church service last week and the message was just what I needed. Simply to walk “in love”. Keep your head held high, and know that you are where you are supposed to be. We are a reflection of God and it is our duty as servants of him to display his love and be a reflection of him. Ultimately letting our “little lights shine”!

No sin is greater than the next. We all have sinned and all have our faults. At the end of the day we should lend our advice in times of need, a shoulder to lean on, and praying hands for one another. We MUST walk in LOVE at all times. Free yourself from the judgement of others and simply pray for them if you feel that their ways are not of the Lord. I feel we are so quickly to judge and talk about other peoples wrong doings (we’ve all been guilty of this i’m sure), but aren’t as quick to pray for them. Lets start praying and loving and stop gossiping and judging. WALK IN LOVE.

Make it a point to display God’s love through both our actions and words. The tongue is a powerful thing. Lets use it for the good of the Lord and not for the negativity of the world.

“Follow God’s example, therefore as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” Ephesians 5: 1-2

Wishing you all a Happy Easter weekend! Take time to worship and remember the selfless act of unconditional love the Lord took for all of us.

Enjoy spending time with your families!

Here is a video I found of a little girls explanation of Easter and the resurrection of Jesus. So so so adorable. Enjoy!

1 Peter 1:3
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead… (NIV)

Our Constant In A World Full Of Change

I always find myself searching for some sort of routine in my life. It gets to the point where I stress out so much about finding balance and consistency that I forgot to stop and enjoy myself. I really do forget to “stop and smell the roses.” I’m slowly learning as a new mom and wife that it’s okay to be off schedule sometimes. I am VERY slowly learning that it’s all right to have a last minute change of plans. When everything seems out of control, out of order and off schedule, it is important to realize that we all have a constant in our life. God is always in control, on time and there for us. He never changes and he never disappoints. I came across this verse while doing my devotions last night and it was just what I needed. I hope this helps some of you out there. Enjoy  the weekend! :)

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8

Who are you serving?

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” Colossians 3:23-24 (NIV)

This verse is a great reminder of who we are living for and what truly matters.
It is so easy to get off track and forget why you are doing the things you do. We start working for others and to prove something to other people, instead of working for the Lord and making ourselves happy. In todays society there is a huge emphasis put on fortune and fame. In hindsight none of that matters, or will matter at the end of the day. Things and wealth can satisfy you for a short period of time, but will never fulfill you and make you truly happy. Whatever it is that you love doing, do it! At least try and do it. When doing whatever it is that you do, do it for the Lord and do it with joy and love. At the end of the day you’re happy, God is happy and that is all you have to worry about.
Whatever your profession, make sure you enjoy what you’re doing and giving it 110%. Live for the Lord and you can’t go wrong.
What are your thoughts? I hope that you are blessed by God’s word today!
Enjoy!

Love Love Love !!!

‘Let all that you do be done in LOVE.” 1 Corinthians 16:14

This little piece of scripture says it all. It’s straight forward and an easy reminder that in all that we do , we must do it with love. Nothing more, nothing less. When we wake up in the morning to make breakfast or take out the trash, do it with LOVE! An early morning headed to work? Go to work emanating LOVE. God’s  love for us is unconditional, and if we showed even a portion of that loved to everyone and in all that we do we are bound for happiness and love in return from those around us.

Enjoy! :)

Give Thanks!

” O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.” psalm 105:1

This was my bible verse for the day. A beautiful reminder to constantly give thanks through all situations. When it seems no one is there, call upon God! He hears our prayers and is always there for us. We must remember to always be a witness for the Lord and let our little lights shine for all to see!

Enjoy! :)
